The Cecil County Department of Emergency Services, Training Division is responsible for the coordination and delivery of all training classes within the departments divisions of EMS, Dispatch communications, and HAZMAT; in addition, the training division assists with the coordination and delivery of educational programs such as CPR/AED, CERT, as well as Maryland Fire and Rescue courses.

The NREMT-Paramedic training program is held in cooperation with Cecil College and offers a Maryland pre-hospital provider, who is a member of a volunteer EMS/fire organization to obtain National certification as a Paramedic at little to no cost to the individual. Successful completion of the NREMT-P Program will provide the student eligibility for 26 credits at Cecil College. Interested providers should contact the training office for additional information. The Cecil County Department of Emergency Services, Training Division maintains an EMS Training and Educational List Server. The List Serve is designed to keep Jurisdictional and Regional providers up to date on training and educational offerings throughout the State and Region. We also send out other important EMS information & health alerts to assist providers in the field.
