During an emergency, officials will tell you what is happening using the Emergency Alert System (EAS), sirens, and/or loudspeakers, and door to door notification. if you hear a siren, turn into an EAS station. Additionally, up to date emergency information will be posted on this website.

On January 17th, 2009 the Obama/Biden Whistle Stop Train Ride came through Cecil County. The success of this event was a culmination of the hard work and coordination of many response agencies in Cecil County as well as their State and Federal partners.
